Meta in Meatspace

Saw William Gibson promote his new book, Spook Country, at the Union Square Barnes and Noble, where he read a scene set in Union Square. Can’t help but wonder, him writing the scene, knowing he’d read it months/years down the road, eliciting laughs as he caked on the corporate gentrification imagery: “Barnes and Noble, Virgin, Starbucks, Whole Foods, …”
