Amazon to embrace Long Tail?

Right now I’m still slogging through the glacially paced snail-mail fest of finding a literary agent. My hopes waver between abysmal and slightly dim, depending on a variety of factors: blood alcohol content, Coriolis Effect, alignment of the upper satellites, etc.

I’ve given thought to just throwing my hands into the air, slapping on a Creative Commons copyright, printing out a few lulu books, and hosting it here.

A nice middle ground would be Amazon picking up my slack. Remarkably similar to my suggestion to the film industry, but with books.

We’ll see. I’ve still dedicated myself to wasting company toner on manuscripts and my paycheck on manila envelopes and stamp books – at least for a little while.
